Man found dead with gunshot wound inside Akron home

AKRON, Ohio — An investigation is underway right after a man was identified useless with a gunshot wound Thursday morning inside of a home in the East Akron community, police say, the 11th homicide in the city this year.

A household member found the 36-12 months-aged target at about 10:25 a.m. in the household on the 800 block of McKinley Avenue, in accordance to law enforcement. The man experienced been shot in the tummy and was pronounced lifeless at the scene.

The identification of the victim has not been released pending identification and relatives notification. The Summit County Healthcare Examiner’s Business will conduct an autopsy.
