Made characterful with colour, these three modern home designs are bright and bold. Whilst each one communicates a very different aesthetic, all are connected by green accents. The green elements conjure a revitalising essence that feels close to nature. Our first featured tour is a scene of creative contrast. Clashing colours make a vibrant setting filled with artistic energy and vigour. The second house tour is a journey of discovery through quirky design elements that meld into a truly unique apartment. Last of all, we journey to a home with a decidedly more sophisticated vibe, where neoclassical elements are reimagined under crisp colour-blocking and polished terrazzo.
Inside our first home tour, tangerine, coral, yellow, and pink accents cause a riot of colourful contrast with a wall of mint green storage units. The bright combination conjures an aesthetic fun factor that’s enveloping and warm.
An oval coffee table makes a small centrepiece in the middle of the room, with no living room rug beneath to anchor it. Instead, a luxe white marble floor treatment is celebrated in all of its glossy glory.
Elliptical panels form a stylish room divider between the colourful lounge and the bedroom of the apartment. The panels turn on their axis to provide privacy when required.
A number of mint green units in the living space constitute the kitchen. Pink fish scale-like wall tiles make a bold backsplash with a tropical vibe.
The run of green storage units flows all the way into the bedroom, where the units serve as wardrobes. A tangerine ceiling treatment marks the walkway through the home. It also helps to zone the one-wall kitchen from the lounge.
Behind the room divider, a greige upholstered bed is flanked by eye-catching modern wall sconces. A recessed shelving nook introduces a shock of bright tangerine into the serene bedroom scheme.
Our second home tour is a unique space that’s full of surprises. An inviting tufted sofa is shaped like a curvaceous pod behind two sculptural coffee tables.
Instead of the obligatory living room TV wall, a focal point of archways is arranged alongside illuminated green wall shelves.
Terrazzo flooring defines the kitchen area from the rest of the open-plan living space.
The terrazzo floor treatment snakes around from the kitchen to the home entryway. A green console table design makes a colourful focal point in a small alcove.
A yellow arched doorway makes a cheerful entryway into the bedroom. Its curves are echoed in an undulating headboard design. A floating canopy crosses the ceiling above the bed, illuminated by soft perimeter lighting.
A linear media unit strikes a green underline beneath the bedroom TV.
Inside the bathroom, a green vanity unit is paired with an arched vanity mirror. The whole ensemble is encapsulated within an arch-shaped recess, which is lit around its edges to dramatic effect.
Home tour number three is blessed with sophisticated neoclassical flair. This sage green interior design is formal yet fresh, classical yet youthful.
The modular
tufted sofa design introduces a brighter shade of green to create interest and energy.
The TV wall carries a distinctly neoclassical vibe with decorative boiserie moulding.
A curved media unit sweeps underneath the living room TV in a clean white finish.
The curvaceous furniture design complements an interior archway that leads to the home entryway. A pretty stained glass window colours the front door.
A low room divider between the lounge and the dining room is smartly clad in green panelling and a terrazzo top. Decorative glass panels reflect the curves of an arch-shaped dining room chandelier.
The room divider is also a breakfast bar/coffee bar.
Glass base units are backlit to make atmospheric mood lighting around the dining room. The unit lights also draw attention to the racetrack-shaped cutouts in the cabinet doors, which beautifully echo the fluted glass room divider panels.
Abstract wall art carries the green accent onto pale wall decor.
A beautiful ceiling rose explodes a ring of decorative stucco around the dining room ceiling light. The upper cabinets in the kitchen are glass fronted to help the compact kitchen diner to appear more open and spacious. LED strips illuminate the contents of the cupboards to create an attractive feature.
A glass vase and modern fruit bowl make a simple dining table centrepiece. See more ideas for modern fruit bowls.
Inside the master bedroom, dark green accents colour the neoclassical decor scheme. The colour palette continues into an attached home office area.
Green colour-blocking runs behind the headboard and bedside units to create a colourful statement. A pleated floor lamp draws an elegantly curved silhouette in front.
Small gold wall sconces complement the dark green paintwork around the headboard. A bank of fitted wardrobes continues the emerald green theme across an adjacent bedroom wall. The bedside units and the bed itself strike a rich note of deep espresso.
